questions about SMTP

Hi all

i wanna ask u about SMTP...

i wanna use this protocol to send an SMS messages to my phone number.. and my questions are:

1) when the SMTP receive the Subject and the text does it take care of the rest to deliver the SMS message or do we need third party to complete this process??

2)if u use SMTP to send an SMS cold u please tell me in details how can i test it (using java language)...

SMTP does not receive anything, it is a transport protocol (hence SMTP), that is a specification for the data that will appear in a packet that complies with the protocol.

For a sever that supports this protocol you can connect to the server and communicate with it using SMTP.

You need to sort out the start point(you) and end point(currently unspecified) for your communication.
