Hi,
you need to transfer a data right very simple?

3 options

1.Buy one USB stick(pen drive) whenever u need,u copy it and take it whereever u required.

since u have wifi and bluetooth options in your laptap u can choose below one also

2.you can go for wireless adaptor in indian money i hope it costs nearly 450 Rs /-

3.Or u can go for Bluetooth tongle (but quality of service would be good in wifi only 2nd option)

if u ask best way to me i would recommend you go with a pen drive for temporary trasfer it is best

Another cheapest option will be using crossover cable in order to connect both the machines. Kindly refer to below attached link for more details pn creating crossover cable, hope it helps. Good luck & take care.

hi,
one more doubt, some of my friends say that we can transfer data using usb port from one pc to another. is it possible. is any software required for that.

as stated by sashi to use cross over cables, will i be in need of hubs or routers for data transfer.

if my question is silly i am sorry but i am in need of solution as i have no idea about hardwares
Jan 3 '07 #5
No s/w required.peer to peer connection may also help no router hub required

"both running windows XP", no problem. I like the cross-over cable solution the best. It is cheapest AND easiest to set up. It's also secure by nature, wireless takes some time to lock down.

Jan 4 '07 #9
u need to have a USB Hub for that.

cross over cable is the best as sashi suggested.that is only cheap as well as default everyone does.

u can go for a pen drive na.any way u 'll definately buy it in your lifetime.do it now.

hi subashini,

i have to share up my net connection also so i am in the idea of getting a bluetooth, cross cable or wireless which ever will be good both in cost wise as well as performance.

ok Goahead! you can choose of your own.u cannot expect people from countries to give the local rate for the devices.

So walk in to the shops and findout.
