Logmein settings...

Hi, I installed "Free logmein" on my computer at work (windowsXPSP2, Administrative Privileges, DSL Internet connected), I can login remotly to my computer from other computer at work (same LAN), BUT at home (standalone windowsXPSP2, Administrative Privileges, Dial up Internet connected) i CAN NOT connect remotly to my computer at work, it keeps giving the error 10060 timeout. would you please help with that?
I did installed Activex and logmein client on the client computer..i think it is related to the firewalls setting or something else i don't know about...your help is appreciated...Thanks

Hi there,

This is probably because of dynamic IP address assignment. Are you using static IP for you DSL connecction? Firewall can play a major role in blocking access to certain port. You need to know the port used by the "logmein" software, enable the port in you XP firewall, hope it helps. Good luck & Take care.
