About . Net Scope

i want to know about the .net scope. i m working in .net from last 1 year and now i want to switch. i have applied at many companies and they usually said that we don't have requirement for .net developer. Because PHP is now days being famous. So should i switch to some other language or continue with it. Although i have a great command on asp.net and i don't want to switch this language.
