Is it a good practice to save dataset in session?

Hello!

I want to show data in Repeater control and inside repeater is gridview.

I am fetching repeater data and as well as gridview data from database on pageload and pass to session. On each rowbind of repeater I do filter the dataset table and bind with gridview.

Is there any drawback or what is the best way to achieve this?
