how to develop multilevel marketing system with genealogies using C#, ASP.NET

Hi
I would like to build multilevel marketing software complete with a component for managing downlines and genealogies. I'd like it to be able to function offline aswell. Preferably with C#, ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL Server,
can anyone advise me on how to go about this?

You are pretty much asking us "how to I write a program"...this is a massive question!

It all starts with planning.
Once you've done your planning/designing and you have a clear idea of what to do then you jump into the implementation.

Check out this thread: what is software development? how to develop the software?. It may help you get an idea of what's involved in taking on a project such as yours.

Since you are developing an application that is used both online and offline it seems to me that you are going to want to develop one central application that other applications can "consume" (or use). I think you might be interested in looking up Web Services. But then again you may just be interested in using a centralized database that both your online and offline applications make use of.

Hi Frinavale! Thanks for getting back to me :-)
I guess my question was a bit too general.. I have already carried out the planning, analysis and design stages. I'm completely stuck at construction.
I did some research on existing multilevel systems and the languages used in their development. The problem here is that my client basically wants a back-office system. This means that they should be able to view the distributor hierarchies (genealogies) offline. Most of the available packages have accomplished this using PHP or Ajax as it is online.
Payment is not done online either, the webpage would simply serve the purpose of allowing a select number of distributors to enter their orders remotely (into the central database) without physically having to bring a batch of papers to the client's office.

Could you possibly advise me on which direction to take?

Oh and I went ahead and read a little bit on Web Services. It does indeed look interesting and since .NET has inbuilt support for developing and deploying Web services learning how to do this will not be too complex.
