All the information you need on the GridView control and any other .NET controls can be found in the
MSDN Library. This resource should get you pointed in the right direction....there are multiple articles on the
GridView there. I recommend bookmarking the MSDN Library and using it as your primary resource when developing in .NET.
GridView's are pretty amazing controls.
They work based on the data source that they are bound to.
That means that you would query your database to retrieve a table populated with data...then all you would have to do is set this table as the data source for the GridView and then DataBind it to the source.
By default, GridViews automatically create the columns for you based on the columns in the data source that you are binding to.
