query of sql server 2005 about like

How we compare a value of a field which have datatype of varchar in sql server..
with the parameter which was passed in procedure.

e.g in simple query "Select * from tabelname where name like 'Ah%' "

but how we create a procedure of above query having one argument

i already tried it but result is not positive
i written...

create procedure list(@name)
as
begin
select * from tabelname where name like @name + '%'end

Above procedure shown an error
Please solve this
