I found this tutorial http://www.msfn.org/board/add-custom...ktop-t492.html for adding shortcut in my computer...

but is there any way of doing this programatically or is there any C# code to do this?

I get my best targeted answers through Google if I use search terms that include the language. For example:

C# make shortcut got several good hits on how to do this.

I also find the best MSDN search is via google by including MSDN as part of the search terms:

Are you trying to produce a shortcut to your application? What does "My Computer" have to do with anything? Are you trying to make a shortcut that brings you to the "My Computer" screen?

EDIT: Ok, you can do registry manipulation in code. Check out some tutorials on using the registry in C# for examples. You need full trust(I think) to create keys in the registry. But then you can make the values you need.

I understand Plater's confusion. You can't make a shortcut at "My Computer" as that is a special location that is automatically populated with the hardware of your computer. It lists your hard drives, printers, cameras and so on. You can't add a shortcut there.
@Plater
What does the registry have to do with making a shortcut?

That link explained what appeared to be for manually inserting your program into the "My Computer" screen, by adding special values to the registry. (Similar to if you wanted your custom app in the control panel)

That just seems like such a bad idea. Completely off standard for the Windows interface. Cool trick, but something I don't think people should do.

Just stick a shortcut in the top level of the Start menu, for all users - just like "Windows Updates". It requires the same number of clicks, is available regardless what is covering the desktop and it follows the accepted standards and UI conventions.

You're going to have to be more specific about your needs.
Is there a specific part you have built but need help with?

I meant that you need to be more specific about what kind of help you need.
Because right now it sounds like you are asking for someone to design the entire program then talk you through it, like a tutorial
