Universal Business Language 1.0 Ratified as an Oasis standard

I just saw a note that UBL 1.0 was Ratified as an Oasis standard.
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees...?wg_abbrev=ubl

Does anyone care to post any thoughts on whether UBL will be of any
importance in the near future? Furthermore, if anyone has any
theoretical/practical examples of its use, please share.

Thanks.
JL
