Hello,
I want to read current dispayed image on monitor(Everything, including Windows, apps, movies, ... whatever you see on the screen) as input then implement an image processing algorithm on it and then show it!
It should happen REAL-TIME & CONTINUOUS.
At last what the user feels is a colorful filter on his screen!
Please Help.
What's the right solution?
Thanks

If you have no form, how do you plan to guide the user to selecting the picture file?

Actually it's some part of other app!
The complete question is another topic in .NET section, named "Display Filter".
Thanks

The two threads have been merged to keep everyone with some input able to track this as one project.

I'm having trouble understanding the idea of monitoring and recording the entire screen in real time PLUS showing it. If you show what you are recording, then you are recording the window in which you are showing etc. A mirror reflecting a mirror comes to mind.

Further, the need to have this be a formless (invisible/hidden/covert) screen recorder makes me think it falls in the realm of spyware.

Ok, Let's make it more clear.
There is no spyware!!
It captures the screen then PERFORMS AN IMAGE PROCESSING ALGORITHM on it and then shows it.
It will be some thing like "MagicLensMax" or "MagicalGlass".
Is it ok?

It should happen REAL-TIME & CONTINUOUS.
The fact that you want to be capturing continuously is what makes it seem suspicous.

But.. Ok... benefit of the doubt. You wan to to create a screen capture application is what you are saying. Is that right?

There are tons of tutorials on this topic.

Actually there is nothing suspicous since the user roles... Just like "Magical Glass"! Everything is optional.
I know how to capture using GDI/GDI+, but they're really slow! I'm looking for a DirectDraw or other fast method.
Now the main problem is how to show the filtered picture in fullscreen! & also formless. I think if you could check "MagicLensMax-Shareware" or "MagicalGlass-Freeware" there will be no doubt!
OR GENERALLY I'D BE HAPPY TO KNOW YOUR SOLUTION!
Thanks alot.

In this way the capture functions like "GetDC()", "GetWindowDC()", ...
will capture my application form. But I need everything except my app window.
another question, What's the fastest capture method?
Is any FrameBuffer modifying way t implemnt this project?
Thanks
