Leaks in XMLString::transcode

Hi,
I am relatively new to XML. Using the XMLString::transcode()
function, I have observed leaks in the code.
The cause and possible fix for this issue have been explained in the
following links:

http://www.goingware.com/tips/xmlmemory.html
http://xml.apache.org/xerces-c/faq-parse.html#faq-10

Inspite of having incorporated the suggested fixes, Purify reports
leaks.
Has anyone faced a similar problem?
Thanks,
Prajakta.
