Exporting SSRS report to Excel - Number stored as Text error

When exporting a report to excel, is it possible to keep the properties around numeric values? More specifically - when exporting a report into excel, all of the numbers in a currency column are stored as text once placed into excel. Is there a way to keep them as a currency value?

I've had a similar problem, that I couldn't solve. If anyone knows the answer, I'd also appreciate it.

I am able to resolve this. the method is dont write a function to convert to currency. specify in properties of the cell (properties->format->format code:C) just to C.

Let me know if it is helpful

Thanks,

I posted earlier and then found a solution. CInt(Sum(Fields!usertotal.Value))
