Design Question in OOP

144 100+
hello,

i'm kinda confused right now,

i'm trying to create a windows application with VB .net. so first i design the GUI form. this form is can be filled by user to save an OrderNote.

i can just write code in the form class, to connect to the database and insert new record or update a record.

so, which is better, to create an additional OrderNote class to store the id, date, orderlist of an orderNote and also maybe save function. so that in the form we can just declare an ordernote and if the user press the save button, we can just call objOrderNote.save() or something like that.

Thank you very much.

Yes, Have a seperate class for that Orders which include anyfunctionality regarding that. Then Use that in your form class.

Better go for 3layered architecture. I will just brief about how to handle your issue.

| UI |

To communicate between layers, you can create model objects. Generally a model object represents a table in the database.
Hope this clarifies your issue.
