How do I assign several XSDs to a XML document?

You usually have one XSD per namespace and you associate XSDs with
namespaces with the schemaLocation attribute
<root-element
xmlns="someURI"
xmlns:prefix="someotherURI"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsl:schemaLocation="someURI http://server/whatever.xsd
someotherURI http://server/whatelse.xsd"
