You'll do much better if you post your question in a Vista discussion group.
When you do, provide details about the programs that don't function
(publisher, version, etc.) and quote ahy error messages you get when you try
to run them.
To find a Vista group...
As you appear to be using a web interface, start here:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.aspx
In the tree on the left, first open the English category, then open Windows.
In Windows, find and open the Windows Vista category and find a group there
to post in.
