Data Binding with Filters

Is it possible to use multiple filters with a data bound object? I
want to do something like:

<OBJECT ID="dataBindId"
CLASSID="clsid:333C7BC4-460F-11D0-BC04-0080C7055A83">
<PARAM NAME="DataURL" VALUE="ThesisData.csv">
<PARAM NAME="UseHeader" VALUE="TRUE">
<PARAM NAME="FILTER" VALUE="Category = Author">
<PARAM NAME="FILTER" VALUE="Type = Thesis">

but only the first filter actually works. Help please?
