Still can't get hold of the "˙" char

Hi,

Say, I have my entity:

<!ENTITY BLAH "˙">

and I have an element:

&BLAH;Some crap

I would expect to get "˙Some crap" back from XMLString::transcode().
Firstly the above entity will not be parsed, so I have to use this
instead:

<!ENTITY BLAH "ÿ">

This parses fine, but when I go through the document tree (by hand) I do
not get "˙Some crap" instead, I get " Some crap"

Can anyone tell me why this is?

Do I need to implement my own Serializer/Writer class? If so, why?

Thanks,
Luke.

P.S: I'm *trying* to use the Xerces parser with C++.

Thanks again,
Luke.
