Windows 2003 Printing errors

I have three printers that are on our printserver that seem to be having some
issues. When the user will print the job will print, but then in the queue it
will say "printed-deleted" and will stay in the queue. I have tried to delete
them, but it won't allow it. I have gone to the properties of the printers to
make sure the check box wasn't checked to say keep printed jobs. it wasn't.
The only way I have been able to clear the queue is to stop the spooler and
then delete the files. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
