XML to relational DB

I guys, i have one question .
I wana persist XML to relational DB.
How should i do it, i have a XML file.
I think :
1) Via XML Database, bump the whole XML.
2) Via JDO, construct java objects by XML, and then dump objects via
JDO or OR Mappings.

It there any better option i have not yet explored. Pl. reply.

Thanx.
Himanshu
