Web site accepting XML feed

Hi

I am new to XML. Could someone provide me with a little information on
how I would be able to create an web site in ASP.NET that would
constantly be open to receive XML data from other web sites. I am
guessing I will need a web service of some description, but could do
with a little more information.

I have quite a bit of experience using ASP.NET, but just need this
info to fill a gap in my knowledge.

Thanks in advance
