OE disappearing messages and folders

Two problems: a lot of emails I send do not appear in my sent file so I don't
know if they've been received.
Secondly, in the past I have lost whole folders which have just disappeared,
as though they have been accidentally deleted but I never deleted them!
Does anyone know how to solve these?
A third question - would it be better to replace OE with Outlook - is it
more stable. If you start Outlook will you be able to transfer existing
folers from OE? Can O and OE work at the same time? Thanks.

There is no documented way to interface with OE, either with or without
..Net.

I am sorry, I was incorrect. You can send messages and you can access the
inbox, but there is no documented way to access any other OE folder. In
other words, you cannot write a program to read or do anything else with the
OE sent folder.
