consuming web services

Hi all,

I want to develop my Win app on a separate machine from the live machine
(which has access to the webservice) for development/testing puposes. There
is no test webservice for me to test my app. Is this possible ?

Thanks in advance

regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I hope I've understood your question correctly ...

As long as the Web Server running the Web Service is accessible via a
network (LAN, intranet, extranet, the Internet) from your development
box, you will be able to access it assuming you have all the necessary
security clearances.

Is the Web Service protected by any particular security features (e.g.
does it implement WSE, or does it restrict the IP addresses to which it
will respond, etc)?

Does the Web Server sit behind a firewall making access to it from your
machine impossible?
