Moving Enterprise CA

I am about to DCPROMO a server which is also the CA but i need to keep the
server name as it is still required as a member server. I have read MS
documents that state I have to rename the new DC to be the same as the old
one. Is this the case or is it possible to have the new server name as the CA
??
