Communication port data thru network

In my application we have a device connected to one system (ex: system1) which will insert the data in comport (system1), I want to get the system1 comport data thru network to another system (system2) whenever data got inserted in system1 comport

How can I solve this problem whether I have to use any service in system1 or I need to work on socket programming?

how about raising an event so that when it detects the serial port object(device) it will save it to a directory, and create subdirectories therefore, and then you could either upload the main(copied) directroy to an ftp website, or transfer it through a socket/tcpclient... but that would only give you a copy of the device's contents...but if you work with it, something like that should work...
