How to get version of the oracle installed in Local Machine using VB.NET.

Well, I don't know much about oracle, but I'm sure that there is a SQL query that can get the version. A quick google search turned up this:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. select * from v$version
  2.  
Try using that in your program.

Yeah, I know. You can query databases from VB.NET. Here is an article on how to do that. Pay attention to the OleDb part and the ExecuteScalar part.
