Retrieving Data from SQL Server and displaying them in a textbox using ASP.NET

Hi
1. Im trying to update user information on the database(SQL Server 2005). It does update if I'm updating all the fields, but if i update one field it does update and it removes all other data in the row of that relevant person..

2. I want to retrieve and display the data of the person identifying him/her by the unique id, and display them in the textbox which will allow him/her to edit and save the updated data..

Thanks
