Multiple Profiles in Outlook 2003

I have three Profiles set-up in Outlook (w/XP Pro). In the past, to go from
one account to another, all I had to do was X out at the upper right which
would take me back to the Profile sign in screen. This no longer works and
the only way I can get to another Profile is to Exit from the File menu,
which takes me to the Desktop. Then, when I click on the Outlook Icon, it
either goes back to the last account I was working in or comes up with a flag
that says "Operation Failed". After a couple of more clicks on the Icon, it
will either come up with the account again or the Profile sign in screen, but
very inconsistent and time-consuming. I reloaded Office to no avail. I
haven't un-installed and reinstalled Office however, as I am afraid of losing
data. Any thoughts?

If you ask in an Outlook group, rather than in this .NET programming group,
you'll probably get useful answers.
Here's how to find the group you need.

As you appear to be using a web interface:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.aspx

Click the + beside your language. then scroll down to Office and Desktop
Applications. In Office and Desktop Applications,
find the category for Outlook. Open it and find a group for
your question.
