In my application I want to allow the user to "browse" to a section of the Subversion repository and select any location and have the URL display in a message box. Navigating through a Subversion repository is a lot like navigating in Windows Explorer, except you use a web browser.
I have created a VB.Net application VS 2005 and added the WebBrowser control to the form, named WebBrowser1. I have set the default URL in the properties. I'm not sure I need an address bar, but maybe that would help. If so, I can't get one to work.
When I launch the application, the default URL displays in the web browser with the top level projects displaying as folders. I can click on any of these folders and go to the next level. However, I can't figure out a way to actually SELECT the item I am currently on and have it display in a Message Box. I can get the Message Box to work, just not to display anything meaningful.
For example, if my starting URL is http://<server>/MFI, when the documentcompleted event is finished, I don't see the URL, but I do see the contents of MFI. If one of the content items of MFI is clients and I double click it, I see the contents of that item. However, I can't seem to retrieve the contents (=URL) of the selected item.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this? It seems like it should be easy enough, but I am at a loss after spending several days searching the internet and trying numerouss approaches suggested there.
Thank you.
