a startdocprinter call was not issued

This is the message I got when trying to print a report viewer report to file, "a startdocprinter call was not issued". Also when I try to print to a network printer I get the message "The handle is invalid". Any ideas would be great. Thanks, Kevin.

After a bit of looking, this doesn't really seem like a programmatic error. It seems like a problem with your system.

I'd start here. I know it's just google, but there are a lot of hits for this error.

Hope that helps.

I have found that for some reason I just can't print in debugger mode. I published the app and ran it without the debugger and it would fine. Thanks for your help

I've had problems like that before where I couldn't do file manipulation or some other things in debug mode. Something to do with our domain security, I think, because when I set up a VM off domain, everything works perfectly when debugging.
