VB.NET- Application to upload files to a user area

Hi, I'm trying to create an app that will allow the user to right click on a file and select an option to upload this file to their area on a website. It's similar to YouTube or Flickr, specifically this website(use testaccount testpassword to login.) The context menu stuff seems simple enough but I'm not sure how to actually upload the files, I can't just upload it straight to the directory on the ftp as it wouldn't associate it with the account correctly.

Are you uploading files to a system folder or to a database?

A database, specifically using SQL Server 2005.

A database, specifically using SQL Server 2005.
Then it's quite easy. Just add an ownerID in the table storing the files. When you want files belonging to a specific user you simply filter by that ownerID.
