WindowsXP Product Registrarion...

I've run imto a problem where someone actually burned-off a copy of my
windows xp disk and installed it on their computer. I have never registered
it and was wondering: 1. How would I register an already activated windows
xp, and 2. If the copy in question (which has a 2 cpu license as per the
EULA) is registered, would that prevent an 'unauthorized installation' from
being updated or cause it to become unusable? Or is product registration a
fubar and I should just handle it the old school way?

You should post to a ms.public.windows.xp forum as the is a .Net
programmer's forum.

You have a problem, as the first install/activation is assumed to be
legitimate.
Your issue is with whomever made the copy and installed it (I assume they
were not authorized to do so.). Handle it with the perpetrator.
