PowerPoint 2008 - problems / limitations / frustrations using guid

1. what are the maximum number of guides available in PPt08? There seem to be
separate limits on horiz and vert guides, and one I've maxed out (20 horiz +
20 vert?), the next guide I add deletes some previous guide.

2. can I lock guides? I use them all the time but I'm constantly 'bumping'
them and 'undo' doesn't work (so frustrating).

3. can I have different 'sets' of guides within one presentation? Perhaps by
using multiple masters?

Thanks
