Highlighting a datagridview

Hello,
I have situation where I must highlight a row in the grid depending on
one of the columns "Expr_Date". If the date is DateTime. Now is > then a certain date in that column of the row. Then it should be highlighted.
I am pretty green to ADO/ASP and visual studio. How can i approach this task.

Do i use if statement prior to binding the dateset to the grid or is there an
event handler for the gridveiw that i use and implement a if statement inside?

Any information will be greatly apprecaited.
Thank You

I assume that this occurs in the page load event and you apply pre binding. HTH.

It actual occurs in a button click event, because the grid represents a log of information about a certain member. Do you think the code should be in the buttin click event or in its own event handler? I understand that i should check the dataset first prior to assigning it to the binding source?

If you don't already know which index you want to select: on your button press event, you can loop through the gridview's rows. Then check your specific cell for the date you want to highlight.

Then just change the gridview's SelectedIndex property to the correct index, and the correct row should be highlighted.

Remember, the rows and cells have a zero-based index.

EDIT:
Actually, now I am a bit confused. In your post you mention ASP, but DataGridView is a Forms object. Are you using ASP.NET or Windows Forms? If ASP.NET, is this a DataGrid, or GridView? My reply applies to GridViews.
