trouble watching videos from certain websites

I have Vista Premium Home, and the newest WMP and Real Player, I've
downloaded the Vista codec package, and I cannot view videos from some
websites. Specifically, when you click to watch a video and they give you
the choice of WMP or Real and the different speeds...I click on those and a
blank screen appears. No error message posts. I think its a "permission"
problem, but don't know how to fix that.
