Calling ClientID of a control on load causes all client side IDs to be not unique...

mbmccormick
I'm having a problem where whenever I try to get the ClientID of a control on page load, all of the client side IDs turn into "Label1" or "TextBox1" rather than "ctl12_Label1" or "ctl3_TextBox1". Now if I comment out the line that calls "this.Label1.ClientID" then I have no problems...

Any ideas? Your help is appreciated...
