crystal reports with c#.net

am trying to implement crystal reports in my applicaition.
i manage to implement the reports from the wizard(i don't now if you can to id manualy) but the report is static.
this that i want is when i select the report a pop-up menu appear and the user give the idnumber and generate the report according to that idnumber.
this that i have done by now is to have the report but the idnumber is allready on the program.is not be given the time that the system is running.
is it possible to be done this.???

what do u mean by idnumber is allready on the program??
u mean database???? when you are calling the pop-up window to show report, fetch the idnumber from database and pass the number in the querystring to the pop-up window.......read the querystring and create the report....

how to i pass the id from the pop-up box and pass it to the query on the report.i don't now how to do this
