Draw 3d Bar - .NET Framework

Hello,

At this moment I am working on a apllication that draws some bars. At this moment it draws in 2d with the Graphics grf = this.CreateGraphics(); Now i want to draw with 3d. is this possible with the same method i use for the 2d ? if not.. is there another method ?

Unless you got some super hi-tech equipment, your screen is flat. Which is to say 2D. If you want "3D" you need to simulate it. But it's all done with 2D commands.

With that said, if you wish to do some serious rendering of things(like "3D" objects) you would want to switch to DirectX

Thank you for your reply.

Can I also use DirectX in a different window in my form? I use the top of my form for the graphics and the bottom for input ( for the bars. name, values etc. )

I don't know much about it.
I think it is better to use directx in its own window vs trying to use it just "half" of a window, but I am unsure.
