Issues with (escaping) encoding & sign in the XML

Hi,

I am pretty new to C# .Net. Working on a piece of code where I have converted Chinese characters into hex equivalents. But when I insert it in the XML, the "&" sign is converted into the "&" which spoils the Chinese character reconversion.

I am using C# .Net, VS 2005.

This is what I don't want to have happen -
<content xsi:type="xsd:string">&amp;#x4f60;&amp;#x597d;</content>

Any inputs will be valuable!

Thanks,
K
