.NET: How do I deploy my programs properly?

Hi, relatively new user and I am curious as to how I should be *correctly* publishing my programs.

I understand I can Build a 'Debug' or 'Release' version, creating an EXE that works fine (among a few extra files), but is there a way to create a .NET application that doesn't require the Framework to be installed on the system?

I wonder because none of my applications work on a computer without the Framework installed, but I figure maybe there is a way to compile my program to include any of the .NET classes/coding etc needed so the end user does not need the *whole* framework installed, but just the used parts that are included within my program.

Any enlightenment on this matter would be appreciated, thankyou

You need the framework on each computer the application runs. Fortunately for me, web applications run on one server. Search the site for variations on this answer, as a common question has been "can I install the framework at the same time as my win app?".
