One or more e-mail messages cannot be sent - Vista and McAfee

I had no problems with my Desktop, but got this same problem others
have reported when setting up my laptop, and so many folks said just
dump McAfee and use another anti-virus program.

I found out what was causing the problem on my laptop by comparing
Windows Mail settings on both machines.

Here's what fixed the problem for me (using Verizon DSL):

When setting up or modifying your Windows Mail account, Tools:
Accounts: Click on your account to select it (If you've already set up
your account): Properties: Servers: Then:

Make sure and put a check mark in the box next to: "My Server Requires
Authentication."

That fixed it!

I hope it works for you!

I only have to tick that box for my email account that is hosted for my
website.
Not my normal ISP.

The moral of that story is that each mail provider sets up their own
mail servers with their own rules. You should only follow the settings
specified by YOUR mail provider.
