XML data in string to a Webservice

Hi,

i'm need to send XML data as string (sorry webservice is an third-party, so i dont have control over this), but when every i read the XML file using StreamReader class and pass the value to webservice -

at webservice end all "<" and ">" are replaced with "&lt" and "&gt" value, but at client side, it shows "<" and ">" itself...

bit confused now..

any suggestion, how to serialize XML data as string by retaining ">" and "<" as it is?

Thanks
Venu

This is for the security reason (To protect from the script injections)

Follow this link,

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/a2a4yykt(VS.71).aspx

Whats your problem when it encodes the script tag and decodes it again at client side ?

The webservice is on Java and the client is on .Net (2003).
The data sent to this web-service is not decoding the tags correctly... so it is failing at the server side and i have been asked to format the data correctly !!

Any suggestions?

Cheers
