Reflection

Aside from looking at a types namespace / assembly name; is there any way to distinguish if a class is .NET inbuilt or a custom one?

Basically, I want a function that accepts an object as a parameter. Using reflection the properties of that object are iterated through and the resulting property names / values are added as SQL Stored Proc params. This is easy enough for the parameters in the original object... but if, say, one of those parameters contains a custom object with other parameters it becomes difficult.

Consider:

Person.Name (string)
Person.Height (int)
Person.Eyes (HumanEyes)
Person.DateOfBirth (datetime)
 
HumanEyes.Colour (string)
HumanEyes.Width (int)
 

So I want to iterate through the Person object, grabbing all the property names / values... but also iterate through the properties contained in the Eyes top level property... The problem being that string, datetime, etc all have their own properties but I don't want them in this instance.

Anyway to distinguish? Or alternate suggestions?
