How do you pass values to a script file?

how do you pass parameters to a script file? I want to pass values from a vb.net textbox to vb script file. The whole point of this is to be able to run the validation of the control from the script file.

What is the length you allow for data entered in your textbox? Would passing the data via a querystring work for you?

Here is the thing I am new to programming and was given the task of finding out how I could work with script files and a vb.net windows application. So any help would be appreciated. The secnario that I would be working with is some one will inupt and age into the textbox and I will use the script for the custom validation on the textbox in the form. I want to know if it would be possible to do this and maybe how I would go about referencing the textbox in the external script file. I saw that this can be done with vb and some forums talk about instatiang a msScript object but when I do this is vb.net the code does not recognise the object type. Could some one please help clear up my problem.
