How to setup data base application on client machine ?

P: 1
I have compiled the sample application 'Localdata' in Visual Studio 2005 and published it IIS 5. The data files are located on the C Drive of this machine which is called DEV15. When I run it from my browser by giving

the application runs fine.

But When I start the application from a different computer on the same network and try the URL

it gives the error message :

'Do you want to save this file ?'

Apparently it is trying to download the file instead of executing it.

Then I installed .NET framework 2.0 and retried the same URL and the system gives this error message :

Could not find file 'C:\.....\Data\Nwind.mdb'

Apparently it is looking for the file on the local system.

1. Is it essential that I install dotnet framework on every client machine ?
2. Is there any settings of IIS that I need to do before the application is run on server instead of on the client machine ?

I would be grateful for any help in this issue.

You need framework on every machine. Never created this type of app, but assume that iis has trouble with extension which is why it tries to download.
