Play Sound on web - what file path?

The .NET framework support no sounds at this time, so have to use the API method PlaySound located in winmm.dll. To do this, have included a method from the winmm dll.

The PlaySound Function requires a full file path as well as name of file (e.g, c:\\ Projects\\Words\\Words\\Sounds\\wordsound.wav" ) however as this is a website so path will change from develpment enviroment to live enviroment.

I need a way of adding base path of the dll of website and then add code to add extra sub directory and the file name in ,net c#

Any ideas as code found to date all relates to applications in windows .net and not websites

Your API code only runs on the server side (unless you are making this an activex object)
So what path you give it wouldn't matter, as the sound will only play on the server.

Personally, I find webpages that play sounds automatically rather obnoxious, HOWEVER, you should look up playing sounds in html to find out what to put in an <embed> tag if you want sound to play on your webpage.
