Best way of Binding incore object to datagidview?

There seems to be several ways around this, I want to code it, not use the click, point method.

I can stick things in a BindingList, BindingSource etc.

Is any method considered best or do they all have various benefits that require a deep understanding of each?

Is anybody out there do this commercially, is there a favored method?

There seems to be 10 ways to do anything in C#, I'm stuck for inspiration. A little worried about the Microsoft site as they seem to promote datasets regardless
(don't want an pro/anti dataset debate, just pretend I need to use an object).
