Webcam built-in driver question

I just bought a new Dell, so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. There
is a built-in webcam. Im using the disc provided by Dell (Dell Webcam
Software), however during the installation, a pop-up window says to make sure
the webcam USB cable is connected to the computer. What does this mean? The
webcam is already build-in to the computer? This is preventing the
installation of the software.
Thank you for you help

What does Dell technical support say?
They sold you the hardware, and it doesn't work. They are obligated to fix
it.
Normally drivers for built-in peripherals are installed prior to shipment.
What leads you to believe driver installation is necessary?

(1) This is the wrong forum to ask the question, this is a
programmer/developer forum for the microsoft .net framework, however
(2) As a DELL owner, I know they tend to pre-install any software you need
-- so you probably don't need to install the software you have. DELL gives
you those disks as a back-up in case your system crashes.
