Where condition for Access DB in Vb.net

hello
im new to vb.net
can anyone help me
how to write a select,update commands for access database in VB.net 2005
if i have to check 2 fields in criteria 1 integer and another text

eg table1 has
id Number
status text
phone text

qry1 = select phone from table where id = '+id+' and status = 'status'

and i want to update table2(id,status,ph)
so want to update phone=ph

how to write a console application for that
