using hashtable in framework 2.0

I'm a student and I work with vb.net 2005 in a company.

I was learning (by myself) about hashtable.. but I wanna know.
It's the hashtable still usefull ? Because now we can use the generics namespace for things like use a collection of objects.

thanks =D
